How to join CompSoc

oX.CompSoc
New members can attend their first meeting for free and can join on the spot. All you need to do is complete a membership form and deliver it with your membership fee to a committee member. Please do not send cash through the post!

Membership forms are available by pigeon post from the Secretary (John Swinbank, Hertford College). Alternatively you can print out an electronic version. Accounts on the CompSoc network are then available according to the Draft Preliminary Statement of IT Security and Privacy.

Membership prices

The current membership prices were set in 2000, and are as follows:

Type Year Life
Normal£10£15
Fresher*£8£12

*Fresher membership is a special rate of normal membership available to University Freshers (undergraduate and graduate) who apply before 3rd week of Michaelmas term in their 1st year.

CompSoc has a limited number of associate memberships available to those not matriculated into Oxford University. Please contact the committee if you are interested in becoming an associate member.

Cheques should be made payable to 'OU Computer Society'.

Some of the main benefits of membership are detailed in 'Why to Join' - but probably the best way to find out what goes on is to come along to one of our meetings.

Any enquires about the society can be emailed to: webmaster@ox.compsoc.net or sent to the Secretary.
