The Shrine of Hamaskis.

Legal Statement

Contact the High Priest.

The Shrine has been built by amateur fans of the World of Titan and the Fighting Fantasy series of gamebooks. It is in no way authorized by the creators Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, nor by Puffin books, the publishers.

Although the text in the Shrine has been written by the High Priest or donated by visitors, the names of many characters and places were invented by Steve Jackson, Ian Livingstone or one of the sub-authors working on the series. Also, the world of Titan and the concept of the Fighting Fantasy system originated with these people. I apologise for any unwitting breach of copyright and will correct any found if I am formally requested to do so by the copyright owner. In particular, neither www.ox.compsoc.net nor any of the contributors to the Shrine have any responsibility for the content of the Shrine. Any queries should be addressed to the High Priest, Daniel Williams. See About the High Priest for more details.

Fans of Fighting Fantasy will be pleased to know that information within the Shrine may be freely reproduced, edited and altered, unless specifically forbidden. This does not include graphics taken from the books themselves or from Warlock Magazine. The Shrine does not own the rights to these and you copy them at your own risk. If contributors do not want their articles to be reproduced, could they please inform me so that I can include a note to that effect on the article. This only affects copyright; trademarks and intellectual property rights (so-called "moral" rights) are unaffected.

I thank Sean Ramsden for his assistance adding helpful dates to the history of Titan, Doug Riddell for his authoritative and persuasive discussions which helped me to re-evaluate aspects of Titan I had thought explained and for the scan of the Seige of Carsepolis (the picture in the entrance hall of the Shrine) and Mark Popp for running his website, Fighting Fantasy .com (and for the loan of the gif in the top right hand corner of this screen). Both of these images are reproduced without permission of the artists and I will remove them if I am formally instructed to do so (as above).

I also wish to thank Coolhand Fletch, Ed Turner, Sagi Hed, Paul Mason, Graham Hart, Michael Taylor, Lachlan Austin, Jam Norman and J. Harris for their contributions on the Fighting Fantasy mailing list and all the members of the Rebuilding_Titan list.
