An important settlement in the Principality of Shabak, the city of Bakulak is here described by Hugh Eldred-Grigg.

The second capital of Bakulan, Bakulak holds the Prince's summer palace, where Nuno often resides before the winter storms drive him back to Bakulan. Almost as big as Bakulan, it is also a major trading port, with a particular connection to the Isles of Dawn. It is perhaps the only place on Titan where one will see Dawn Islanders in any numbers, other than the Isles themselves. Some of the architecture has been influenced by the tiered rooftops of the Islands. The winter palace itself has several towers built in this style. The cuisine also incorporates many exotic dishes imported from the Isles of Dawn.
