This man's eyes are ringed with malice and a willingness to crush anyone in his way. Despite looking for all intents and purposes like a nondescript fellow, behind the mediocre body hides a powerfully intelligent and calculating mind. He is a fierce spearman in combat, eschewing the sword favored by the other rulers of the Old World. He is also a brilliant military tactician, a hallmark of the office of Lord Regent in Brice. His calm, quiet voice belies an iron will and a willingness to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals.
Some call Tinardo one of the blackest villains in the Old World today. Despite what I have previously wrote, this is not exactly true. The Cabal of the Werewolf, the various evil priesthoods in the Old World, and the Cult of the Blazing Wave are all far worse than he can ever be. While supremely cunning and calculating, he is a strong believer in honor and the rules of war, and always uses honest and straightforward means to achieve his goals, and never uses treachery, lies or blackmail. He might have Rogaar assassinated, but that is only because of their personal hatred. He would never allow his troops to sow fields with salt, poison wells, or slaughter civilians. Sadly, he cannot supervise all his troops in Brice, and is powerless, of course, to prevent foreign troops from doing so to his own citizens.
Tinardo has kept Brice's military strength strong, and smoothed over relations with all the nobles in Brice's oligarchy and even the black-hearted criminals in the City of Mazes. The economy has not grown as rapidly as other Old World nations, however, and some doubt the ability of the peasants to survive a prolonged war with other nations.
