Supernatural, Magical and Sorcerously Animated Beings

Contact the High Priest.

This page is under development and any comments will be much appreciated. Any non-living beings will be covered here. The relations between them can be better understood by considering their classification. Quite outside our own corporeal realm there are many other planes of existence, all inhabited by their own residents. Some of these are capable of visiting our planet, whilst others can take control of inanimate matter, either of their own volition or through the intervention of a mortal spellcaster.

Demons

One of the seven families of Supernatural Beings is that of Demons, evil spirits which plot the downfall of Good in support of the Dark Lords of Chaos and occasionally appear on the corporeal plane in person to advance their cause. The different types of Demon are listed here, but individuals are descried in the Faces area. Those demons which can only manifest on Titan by animating physical bodies are listed under Intelligent Animations or Undead.

Greater Demons, including the demon princes and the captains and commanders of the Legions of the Damned:
Snake Demons, Night Demons, Greater Fire Demons, Lightning Demons, Storm Demons, Iron Demons, Rust Demons, Plague Demons, Greater Shadow Demons, Slime Demons, Venom Demons, Dai Oni
Lesser Demons, the shock troops and slayers, powerful and numerous, both in the pit and the corporeal plane:
Hell Demons, Lesser Fire Demons, Horned Demons/Yachar, Ice Demons, Mirror Demon, Lava Demons, Sand Demons, Nanka, Djinn, Death Spider, Skinless Ones, Changelings, Night Shadows, Angeroc
Minor Demons, including all those demonic entities less influential than the demons which do not require Avatars to appear on Titan:
Rock Demons, Bone Demons, Muck Demons, Wood Demons, Forest Demons, Snakespawn, Hellhounds, Hellcats, Demon Bats, Nightmare, Demon Steed, Devil Dog
Shadow Spirits, members of the lower orders whose forms appear to be those of shadow:
Lesser Shadow Demons, Shadow Ghouls, Shadow Monster Demons, Shadows, Shadow Monster Spirits, Shadow Fiends, Shadow Stalkers, Shadow Self Spirits, Mirror Doppelgangers
Demonic Spirits, another of the lower orders even less influential than the minor demons:
Shimmera, Clouds of Chaos, Droomies, Ghostly Hands, Invisible Strikers, Dream Spirits (Hoatzin, Tree Devils, Snow Ghosts)
Demonspawn, the lowliest of all demonic entities, whose very form is even uncertain:
Horned Devils, Double Headed Devils, Evil Spirits

Gods, Tricksters, Ethereals and Elementals

Although demons are the most frequently encountered on Titan, there are many other Supernatural Beings known. As with the demons, individuals may be found in the Faces area, although no named elementals or ethereals are known.

Suma, Celastrix, Ki-Rin, Peg, Unicorn, Dryads

Graven Images and Other Sorcerous Slaves

Ever since the invention of sorcery by the elves, wizards have been tempted by the opportunity to create a near mindless servant to obey their every command. The usual method is to bind a minor elemental to a piece of inanimate matter, thus enabling much greater control, although other beings and other methods are tried from time to time. When the matter animated is the remains of a once-living being, the creature created is called undead.

Golems, created by animating a lump of the base material carved roughly into the shape required:
Stone Golems, Stone Warriors, Stoneskin Warriors, Guardians, Stonewraiths, Stone Trolls, Flying Guardians, Stone Guardians, Animated Statues, Quartz Golems, Crystal Warriors, Crystal Statues, Hands, Metal Golems, Bronze Golems, Brass Golems, Bronze Idols, Animated Armour, Flesh Golems, Replicants, Minor Thassaloss, Major Thassaloss, Death Skull, Ice Warriors, Fire Warriors, Clay Golems, Wood Golems, Manikins, Stuffed Sailors, Rad Hulks, Maze Fiends, Dark Monsters, Leaf Beasts, Tigerskin Rug, Clones
Formless Beings, created by allowing an entity to control a mass which can be given shape by the being's powers:
Sentinels (Gem Sentinels, Metal Sentinels), Clone Slime, Mud Dragons
Instruments, created by animating an object to do the enchanter's bidding:
Weapons, Vehicles, Tools, Doors and many Other Items

Intelligent Animations

There are times when a wizard requires more from a creation than simple obedience and so the most advanced sorcerers sometimes bind more powerful entities to physical forms, giving them a certain degree of independence. Based on the abilities of certain spirits to possess objects on the corporeal plane, these methods are so successful that they have even been developed to allow a spellcaster to control a simulacrum from a distance. When the object being possessed is the remains of a once-living being, the resulting creature is called undead.

Avatars, which are controlled by the will of a possessing spirit:
Simulacra, Khuddam, Silver Samurai, Gargantus, Shell Monsters, Stone Shape Shifters
Familiars, into which an intelligent entity is bound to serve its master:
Chattermatter, Vitriol Essence, Mortal Familiars
Illusions, which are a little like simulacra in that they are controlled by the spellcaster's will, but they only exist in the mind of the recipient:
Skeletal Illusions, Eagle Illusions, Beetle Illusions

The Undead

The term undead simply refers to any being which shows signs of life after death and comprises several quite different types, which could equally be regarded as part of the above categories of supernatural beings, sorcerous slaves and intelligent animations. Many minor demonic entities are regarded as undead, because they only ever appear in the mortal realm when animating undead creations.

Avatars, which are controlled by the will of a possessing spirit:
Animated Corpses, Mummies, Skeleton Kings, Undead Warrior Kings, Liche Queens, Soul Suckers, Rokuro-Kubi, Medusas, Cursewitches, Vampires, Doom Demons, Baobhan Sith, Shrouded Wanderers, Demonic Servants, Ishkarim, Bone Devils, Messengers of Death, Hellfire Spirits
Wraiths, spirits of the dead forced to remain on Titan, usually due to some error or omission during life:
Death Wraiths, Spectres, Wraith Filled Mists, Mist Wraiths, Banshees, Phantoms, Forsaken Ones, Shura of Warriors, Shura of Demons, Shades, Possessor Spirits, Vampire Mists
Ghosts, spirits of the dead which have reached the Ethereal plane but can go no further:
