This strange Black Elven wizard is known to live in the Forest of Snatta, a renegade from the various colonies of black elves living at the Daddu-Yadu, the Croaking Caves, and who wander the Baklands in wild caravans. She is a proficient sorceress, and aided the Analander when he fought against the Seven Serpents. Her hatred of the Serpent of Water was quenched when the Analander slew it with a flask of oil. What Fenestra has been up to for the past few years is open to speculation, but she still lives in her forest home, powerfully protected with magic. I have talked with her once or twice, and information about the Archmage and the Cult of the Rising Wave are both given to her by me. She and Colletus have kept in close touch together since the fall of the first Archmage, and now she is expressing concern about the happenings in Kakhabad.
Colletus's history is given in the fine book Titan, written by two of the world's finest scholars out of Salamonis. For many years, he continues to preach the word of Throff to the oppressed peoples of the Xamens while remaining both under their protection and the protection of the great goddess Throff. He was noted for helping the Analander during his quest to retrieve the Crown of Kings, and having kept a general eye on things in that region of Kakhabad. He ha been warned by his goddess about the threat that the Cult of the Rising Wave poses to the whole of the Old World, and the threats posed by the Three, the Archmage, and the possibility of the Third Ruddlestone War. He insists that while the Old World appears to be civilized, it has plenty of problems just like any other continent. The ones in the Old World may be farther reaching than those local problems in other continents. He still lives in Kakhabad, and while he avoids Khare, he travels even as far as Lake Lumle and the Shamutanti Hills in promoting the word of Throff and healing with his special gifts.
Vashti the Ageless lives on a magical plane called the Maiden's Vale. It may only be entered through a magical portal set between two Oaks and can only be left through a similar portal between two apple trees. Although she may not leave the Vale without being subjected to the attention of Greater Demons, her knowledge of the world is still great.
It is said that she once resided on Titan 'when the world was young'. She herself has spoken of the fun she had at that time and mentions that one of her companions was the Juja. It appears, therefore, that she was a sorcerer during the Godtime. Thus, she was a human using magic before the First Battle. This would have been aided by the Gods no doubt because at that time they wandered the lands of Titan also. It is known that the Juja left the world 'when the world became Evil' and it is thought that this refers to the time immediately after the First Battle. It seems that Vashti retreated to her magical plane perhaps at the same time. This meant that she escaped the effects of Time. This would explain her apparent immortality and great age.
The Juja is an ancient wizard. No one knows his real name or his parentage. He no longer lives on the Earthly Plane but in a magical plane that he does not leave physically. However, his mind is able to wander far and wide across the lands of Titan and thus his knowledge of the world is still great.
It is said that he once resided on Titan "when the world was young" and that he left Titan when the world became Evil. From this it is believed that the Juja was a wizard during the Godtime. Thus, he was a human using magic before the First Battle. This would have been aided by the Gods no doubt because at that time they wandered the lands of Titan also. It is believed that when the world became Evil refers to the time immediately after the First Battle. It seems that the Juja retreated to his magical plane perhaps to escape the effects of Time. This would explain his apparent immortality and great age.
A companion of his at that time appears to have been a sorceress named Vashti who also fled the world following the First Battle. It is not certain how many such ancient users of magic fled the world after Time was released. What appears to be true, however, is that the price for fleeing the world to escape the effects of Time is a huge constraint on ease of movement between Planes. Although safe in their own planes, these immortals face immediate peril if they try to leave.
Adventurers have visited both the Juja and Vashti on noble quests to seek their aid.
This is the term applied to the Elven Demi-God Tela Oriens. He is regarded as the first of the great Elven sorcerers. It was Tela Oriens who at the suggestion of the Minimites after the First Battle first asked the Gods for their guidance in using the art of magic. He is therefore often seen as the associate of Hamaskis (known as Livurien the Sorcerer to the Elves). Although the Elves refer to Alliarien as the God of Elf Magic it is Livurien who they revere as the master of Sorcery. It is also Livurien as well as Erillia (Galana) who they believe communed with the White Lord directly deep in the heart of the One Forest, which at that time spread across the one continent Irritaria.
