Quill

The High Priest would like to thank Jared Milne for making available to us the following description of Quill in Brice from the Cyclopaedia of the Old World by Sir Jarvis of St. Wymerios University, Crystal City.

The Diamond Market

Across the Diamond Sea are the Diamond Islands, from which Brice mines diamonds that form the backbone of its economy. Quill is the stopoff point for merchants who take the diamonds farther south, and is also an important trading point for merchants from Harabnab or Fickling. As such, the laws in Quill are extremely harsh, with a curfew imposed on all civilians-they must be indoors before sundown. It is remarkable to see the differences between this place and the City of Mazes, much like the difference between Harabnab and the Port of Crabs in Ruddlestone. Quill is also known for its bizarre drink: Quillian Water, which is served in small thimbles. It looks and tastes like water, but three measures will kill a man! For some reason, this costs ten gold regents a shot, but why anyone would want to drink it I have no idea.
