Wild Boar Fell

I am a postdoctoral researcher working for the LOFAR Transients Key Project at the Astronomical Institute "Anton Pannekoek" in Amsterdam. I'm also the (gratuitously over-titled) "Software Architect" for the extremely excellent Global Jet Watch project. Previously, I was a graduate student in Astrophysics at the University of Oxford working on high redshift star formation and AGN environments. I was based in Hertford College, where I was a College Lecturer in Physics.

When not writing unhealthy amounts of Python with the noble aim of throwing back frontiers of astronomical research (or, at least, keeping myself in a job), I enjoy hillwalking (sadly not so easy in Amsterdam), squash, reading, the odd beer, and, yes, brown-and-orange websites.
