Red chard is a leafy vegetable, a bit like spinach or beetroot tops.

Pancakes is pancakes!

I just made the batter, steamed the RC for a couple of minutes, then chopped
it into the batter with loads of nutmeg, salt and pepper, and then cooked
them in the normal pancake manner.....then i stuffed them with home-made
ratatouille and rolled them up..so they were a bit like cannelloni.
